For anyone interested in the nuts and bolts of the 2007-2008 investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann conducted by the Policia Judiciaria, here is the link to the documents.

They were originally released to the public on 4 August 2008, a few weeks after the initial investigation was closed, by the Ministério Público. The McCann files were released on DVD, and contain 11,223 documents. They are divided into the main case file, sightings from around the world, interviews conducted in England and other information appendices.

The files contain both the original Portuguese (or do they?!) and the translated English versions of the files as well as a plethora of photos and CCTV footage relating to the case, statements from the investigating officers and transcripts of the interviews conducted.

Keep in mind, it’s a lot of stuff to trawl through, and it’s easy to get bogged down. Reading at approximately 5 minutes a page, it would take over a month of non stop reading to finish it all.

Wouldn’t you rather just watch the news and hear what they have to say?

What is written there?
